High Intensity OBSTRUCTION LIGHTING
The FAA Style B High Intensity Obstruction Lighting System is meant for towers that are 700 feet AGL. The C shaped structures make for 360-degree lighting, covering the entirety of the tower’s circumference. The L-856 and L-865 lighting system flashes white during day with 270,000 candelas, 20,000 candelas at twilight, and 2,000 candelas at nighttime, using under 135 watts per flash head. The Style B works for towers that do not have an antenna at the top.
